It’s funny when I think back to what my first Mugen part was, because it was so long ago and I was such a young pup back then. This had to be back in 1994, and it was my first time at King Motorsports in Sullivan, WI. I bought 4 stickers and 4 plastic emblems that now would probably go for $200 a piece.

What are your guys’ stories of your first Mugen purchases?

Being a broke student, my first Mugen part (I only have 3) was the Mugen dildo. My pops was visiting the U.S. so I told him to order me the shift knob.

When he came back with the Mugen shift knob in his suitcase, I remember him saying “what the hell did I pay $90 for?”. I opened it up and showed him. I never heard the end of it!

    :P

I’m thinking the first purchase were those good old resevoir covers/socks, but followed by the oil cap, rad cap and eventually the duraluminum “dildo” shift knob. finally got pedals and hood pins and thats about it for a long time. Ran out of all the small things to buy with so much more on the want to buy list.

I do remember getting my first major mugen item which was my racingII wheel for my 18th birthday. Remember putting it on at HIN before the show started since it just arrived that day. Kinda upset I traded/sold it cause of the sentimental memory. I kept that thing as mint as possible for the 2 years I’ve owned it, probably cause my car was down for most of that time lol

I think most addictions start small, then the next thing you know you’re selling your first born child for Mugen crack!

    I haven’t bought a Mugen part in almost 6 months. :(

My first Mugen part was a reservoir sock someone gave me at a show.

Then came the midget dick shift knob, sports type steering wheel, and knock-off pedals. I love how every part is designed to serve it’s purpose and nothing more. Fits my style perfectly

i remembered i was trying to start a thing of buying a set of mugen license plate botls every month and after a while i’d accumulate enough to use throught my engine bay and what not. better than buying all at once. didn’t work well though but maybe i need to start again…
